duluthdan
Excellent Santa Cruz VJ, and the Kopp. Are these guitars tuned down a half-step? I just came from playing mine for an hour, they're detuned, and these sounded like they hasd that same rumble.
Motherofpearl
No Dan standard tuning. The D12 I went to drop D as you can see in the video.

Hall
Good sounds and good picking as well. Thanks for those - I really like the guitars! Steve
kebob
Very nice. My favorite out of all of them was the D12 -- is that a small-bodied Santa Cruz? I'm not real familiar with Santa Cruz models as there are none to play in my area -- wish there were! EDIT: googled it, I see the D12 is a small-scale dread. Really dig it. EuroAussie
Im not sure what you used for the recordings but Im pretty sure they didnt do your fine stable of guitar justice. The recordings sounded thin and jangly, as if it was a very lo-fi recording method. Im sure in real life it would be quite a different tone we would be hearing .... and feeling. Motherofpearl
I also use elixirs which don't help that either lol
MorrisrownSal
Boom D12 - hit me in the gut. Loved the VJ also. I was surprised in that the Kopp, which is one I have never tried and one I would have thought would have also knocked me over, did not. Gorgeous guitars and great playing amigo. Motherofpearl
See listening back I think D12 Kopp J100 VJ My recording is obviously not very good. Ill have to try something else. Next time
merseybeat1963
The Kopp sounded very nice to me and the D12 too..Couldn't compare to first one cause it was fingerpicked. They almost all look like the same guitar : ) but all good ones. My only criticism I direct is to the wall to wall carpet.. Doesn't do much for sound..airbourne fibers unhealthy (unless it is made of wool..)and no looken nice. Look up Isfahan..Nain...Tabriz..Qum... : )
Motherofpearl
Lol Mersey your right the carpet doesn't help. I doubt it's wool just regular. I don't have the cash for Persian rugs
J.R.M.30!
I caught a mistake at 0:02 in the J100 video, the second video that is. Keep practicing!

retrorod
The D12 and J-100 are my favs. Two totally different tones, however! The J-100 had the 'sweetest' tone of them all. to me....
Motherofpearl
I love that one! I sold every 2 sj200s when I got it. I prefer the hog over maple. That being said I'm trying to get down to 3 guitars and I may have to move on from that one.
