SouthpawKen
Nope no lefties on this one.. (and yeah, probably a good thing for you ;)) Yeah no doubts there. However, I'm kinda hoping to see a new version of the 70s Tribute, like in Natural for instance. That would put me in a flutter.
L5Larry
It just boggles my mind how Gibson does "Anniversary" models and reissues of guitars in configurations that they never made in the first place.
btoth76
No, it's not nice! No, I don't need it! Nothing special about it! No, I don't need another guitar at all!

Hendrix would have just turned it over and played it that way.

Like perhaps what they are showing is not mahogany thus no burst? The article about it doesn't mention body wood at all so not clear.

charlie brown
Went to see a band called "Blackberry Smoke," at the "Wormy Dog Saloon" in "Bricktown" (OKC), last weekend. One of the guitar players had a great looking Firebird...much like the one pictured, (bound neck, gold hardware) but with 3 pickups, and in Candy Apple Red! It was "Stunning!" Sounded great, too! I'd never seen one, quite like it, so I wondered then, if it was some special edition, or "anniversary" re-issue. CB
SouthpawKen
Come on. Don't let that stop you. Hendrix would have just turned it over and played it that way. I'm good for now, I'm already like, so over it. Really, I'am. Must not be lead into temptation, must maintain composure. Got my 70s Tributes close at hand, just in case I feel a little twitch. Oh oh, got to get off of this thread like so fast.

SouthpawKen
Im not saying anything ;) (but yeah I think I get what you mean :)) Oh Yeah! Love me some of that Hot Tuna, The Band also! Speaking there of, I believe Jorma Kaukonen played a Firebird at one time or another. I,m sure I've seen a snap of him playing one somewhere.
