Anyfulekno
Just an aimless plea, really - I have long been a huge fan of the clean-looking, lighter-weight, AAA-topped, budget(ish) priced Les Paul DC Pro, and a few years ago had set my cap at a trans black model. Then they stopped making them and since then I've never seen a trans black one come up for sale, in the UK at least. A few DC Standards etc maybe. But for me part of the attraction of the DC pro is the unbound neck. I have a 2002 LP standard and the neck binding only detracts from the lines of the guitar, to my eye at least. But I think the binding round the body gives extra definition to the elegant double-cutaways. The attached pic is not a guitar I own. Nice though (apart from the green inlays). Rabs
Yup I couldnt agree more.. I have a LP DC Special Faded which I love.. Ever since ive been wanting some kind of DC standard which I also drop hints at every chance I get :) You have my vote. I also think Gibson should do a studio model of this http://www2.gibson.com/Products/Electric-Guitars/Les-Paul/Epiphone/Tak-Matsumoto-DC-Standard-Plus-Top.aspx The way I see it is with a DC you get all the oompphhh of a Les Paul with SG type upper fret access.. Its like the perfect guitar. (your one looks great by the way.. nice.. what sort of pickups does that have?)

kidblast
A good friend of mine had a few of these. There were fine guitars for sure. very comfortable to play. I would consider one if I happened across a nice one and it wasn't crazy money.

politicalamity06
I agree with the topic as well. IMHO, the dbl cut les paul, is the best solid body design Gibson has ever produced. I do disagree with the opinion on the binding however. I love Gibson's body and neck binding. It has a very classy look to it and improves the overall appearance of the instrument. But, I will admit it is purely cosmetic of course.
Sillennium
Isn't there a severely discounted version of this guitar on Musicians Friend right now?
