SRV-Zeppelin
Now no offense to any Slash fans out there... (you included, Flight...) but haven't there been enough Slash models already?!! This is getting almost as bad as Zakk Wylde... I like GnR and Slash is a great guitarist, I'll never deny that. He's one of the best. And I understand that Gibson's sig models are very profitable... but... do they have to keep milking the same cow over andover and over and over... ???!!!!!!! I called Gibson about that very thing...in a way. Only thing I can say is don't look for a Cruznolfart signature LP any time soon.

In my opinion the only two sig's I would have is the Custom 2004 which I have and the Custom Slash VOS which I would like.... Iam sure the standards are great guitars and there is no denying the Slash Gold Top looks nice! Regards Flight959
stoof
no offence at all SRV ZEppelin, I understand your point of view... Actually, I don t care how many Signatures they gonna release (1 more should be released I was told....)... I just wanted a goldtop, and this one fits perfectly what I was expected from this guitar. Like the slash neck and the Pickups, so I went for it. I really like the VOS as weell, but the cost was not justifiable for a standard !!! I paid 1700euros for the Goldtop, and very happy with it :D Thanks Toogy for your kind comment
GuitarJunkie
I didn't buy it because of the Slash connection. Like Stoof, I also wanted a Goldtop and the Slash was over $200 cheaper than a Traditional and about $500 cheaper than a Standard. As well, I liked the fact it had the Duncans so it was different from the Les Pauls I already had.
Kolera
Sorry for hijacking the thread, but I was wondering about the serialnumber on the Slash LP Goldtop. Mine is very hard to see, as if they put too much finish over the numbers. Had to read the serialnumber off the checklist that was in the case. Is it the same with your Slash Goldtops? jonarsh
Hi Kolera, I have the same problem too...I cant really see the "Made in 2008" as well as the serial number. Guess they either embossed too shallow or the put too much lacquer on it! But anyway, it really sounds great and the sustain is a unbelieveable man. Btw, I broke one of the knobs, anyone knows where I can get an exact replacement? Its a bit different then the standard knobs as the numbers are embossed rather then printed... *Jonarsh*

jonarsh
How much do they charge? Problem is I'm not in US, so I'm guessing there will be trouble with the shipping? stoof
my serial is not visible a lot, just like u guys. about the knobs, I changed mines with the one Slash used to have on his 92's goldtop.
stymye
As long as a never ending supply of new slash groupies want to learn sweet child of mine, there will be slash guitars. I like slash to some degree , mainly because he's the modern day Joe Perry(wannabe).
