My little lady known as the Wildkat. She is a recent purchase and my first Epiphone (been a diehard Fender gal for years). Now, like so many here, I have terrible GAS pains for another Epiphone. I'm leaning towards the Sheraton II, but still on the fence.

These photos do not give her justice. The mirror like finish on this beauty and the brilliant colors are not properly represented here. Hey, I'm a guitarist not a photographer, kids!

what about a Sheraton 1962 reissue? The photo doesn't do it justice.

  • 2 weeks later...

This is why these pictures are no good for my bank balance. I really want to buy a second semi now but with a Bigsby, maybe justify it by buying a Sheraton? [biggrin]

No kidding! I've been GASing for a Casino but if I buy one it'd better have kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom in it 'cause that's where my wife would make me live. [wink]

Sweet Ax crust, I like those too. [thumbup]

One of the nicest sets of Korean Rivieras in a while. (Oh yeah, nice Casino and Japanese Sheraton alsobiggrin.gif)

The red and turquoise are beautiful with the Epi branded bigsbys .

And the 12 string with the minis is a collectors item for me.

Great family.

Very nice Crust. Followed your other thread.

These are on my radar, but I'm waiting to find one new or used in Tea Burst.

I only saw a handful when first announced through AMS, but let them slip by.

Sooner or later I know one will show up.

That's what collecting is all about for me, finding the right model

Enjoy her.

I did post this picture in another thread in reply to a specific question, but perhaps it also belongs here.

ES-345, the body, neck, pickguard and Bigsby are the only original things that left China with this guitar in end of 2011 (built 11/11/11 [biggrin], which makes for an easy serial number)

EpiFin_zpsfe2f2ebe.jpg

Starting at the top: Kluson Tone Pros TPKB3L-G locking tuners, custom metal engraved "E" truss cover, bone nut, TV Jones Classic Filter'Tron buckers with English mount & rings, Schaller roller bridge (from Stewmac), complete loom replacement with Swithcraft switch & jacks, CTC mini pots, Orange Drop caps, Gibson tophat knobs & gold switch hood (varitone switch bypassed), original Chet wire whammy handle, strung with Curt Mangan 10-46 fusion-matched nickel-wounds.

Piped through the Vox AC30 pictured, sounds straight out of the '60's, only cleaner but with more balls. Nothing like it did when born, that's for sure. Cheapest guitar I own, absolute favourite to play. Has a better neck than any of the others.

That might be the most beautiful guitar I've ever seen. [thumbup] [thumbup] [thumbup]

That guitar is screaming for a gold E on the pick guard. Beautiful.

Now that you say that, you've got me thinking - maybe even a clear pick guard with gold "E", & possibly gold pinstripe edge?

I can do that, I took a lot of care to make sure all the wiring was not visible through the f-hole.

I only put the pick guard on to get the "E" there in the first place (as it is supplied unfitted with the ES-345), and it was a decision between pick guard with E or no pick guard and no "E". A clear guard would get the "E" in the right place without covering the top of the f-hole.

Thanks for all the kind comments - makes the work worthwhile (aside from the pleasure it brings to my ears).

Ok, just thought of a question..... I gotta put new strings on this thing; they very well may be the original strings, and it's an '07....msp_scared.gif What kind of strings do you guys put on your hollow bodies?? I don't know if it makes a difference or not, i usually play Ernie Ball Super Slinkys(and I have 3 spare packs) on my other guitars and I imagine they will be just fine for the Casino, but curious as to what you guys like to use....

Thanks!

Casino's come from the factory set up for 10-46. I've been using Elixir Nano's and/or Cleartones for a few years but lately have been thinking of trying some Ernie's or GHS, or just something a bit different. Not unhappy with what I'm using, just curious.
