I thought it might be. Leather jacket, J200, the Ashcroft look. Gather your from England then pal. I was Big oasis fan back in thr day myself mate, i never saw the verve though but saw ashcroft in leeds once solo, im a Yorkshire boy!

Im a Belfast boy myself, Oasis changed my life when Supersonic came out, huge fan of the lads. The Verve i caught live at Slane Castle just before the split in 98 after Urban Hymns, and then caught them there a few year back in Belfast when they got back together,Never caught Ashcroft solo though, would love to see him do a set of his own and Verve tunes mixed in. Hes been quiet this past while bar playing out with noel in dubai i think.Be great to hear some new stuff from him.

Yeah I agree, he did something with United Nations of sound dint he but I didn't take much notice of it. Was good solo but would have preferred to see him in the verve.

Back onto guitars anyway, a nice collection there. Next on my list I think is a casino, still wish I hadn't sold mine a few years back, absolutely loved it. I got the epi 355 in white with bigsby, she's a beauty and the 62 sherry reissue, I'm still playing her in and gettin used to the thin neck at the minute. Always preferred hollow bodies though, that may be due to noel gallagher though, always wanted that style guitar when I was younger and now I just want more and more of em. Only solid body I'm into right now is the gibson SG, that's on the list too, it seems this list is never ending! Ha

The Casino feels really nice to hold and play, reckon you will love it. Took it to practice last night and realised ya do need a bitta distance to stop it screaming back at ya though.P90 pick ups are a favourite of mine since pickin up my riviera last year. I remember when i was 15 going into a local guitar shop and asking for a guitar that was the shape Noel G played, and the shop assistant said, ahh they type of guitars will go out of fashion, your better with the stratocaster shape lol, me being naive and young i listened to him and got a crappy strat rip off. still annoys me to this day lol.

Im a big Pete Townshend fan aswell, The SG is a lovely guitar aswell , as ya say the list is never ending lol, im big into acoustics aswell but thats a whole different ball game again haha. Gibson j200....way outta my price range :(

I had a crappy vintage strat to start with, awful it was. My first semi was a tanglewood memphis but then i got an epi dot. Got told the same thing by a guy in Wakefield, said it was just a craze ha.

Yep j200 are beauties, I've got a poor mans j200 though, an ej200. Nice acoustic guitar, like the jumbos.

As for the SG, the reason I love them is probably cos of Paul weller.

Used to have issues with feedback when I had my casino but it can be controlled with practice. I think if I get one ill try plastic p90 covers. A guy on here has done that and after reading up I think it may reduce the feedback a little compared to the chrome ones. Don't kno until u try!

thats me playin my acoustic there, a Takamine eg523sc, real beautiful sound from it, big fan of jumbos myself. our lead singer picked up an Epiphone Dove pro last week there and i gotta say its a beaut aswell, great sound both unplugged and runnin through the PA system.

That might be something worth looking into with the p90s, my riviera dont scream at all, but its a semi hollow and i put it down to that rather than what the pick up is made from, im still pretty new to the world of electric guitars ,so any wee tips and tricks is always appreciated

Do you know where ya get the serial number on the Casino's? i can see the model number but i cant find the serial anywhere.

There or on the back of the headstock, although my limited experience tells me most people look for the # inside the f hole on the sticker.

For me, threads like this are the best part of this Forum: incredible collections big and small, a whole range of Epi models I've never seen before, and most of all how people really love these guitars.

I tried to buy another FT45 Cortez for my little collection, and the owner said he'd "rather sell his wife than part with that guitar". Whole lotta love here.
