Real or fake?

Looks legit to me. You could always message the seller and ask for the serial number. He mentions having the serial, but doesn't include it. It's in the F-hole, so they can be hard to take pics of.

Just looking at this sorrento online. Is this real? there's no serial number included in the listing as far as I can see.

I've been looking at that. It looks like a real 90's Korean model to me. I think it's overpriced and the seller has already dropped the price once when it didn't sell. I don't think it was a particularly popular model in the UK. I had a friend who worked at Soho Soundhouse in London and he said they were one of the hardest to sell guitars they could ever remember. They knocked them out at around £200.00 with a hard case just to get rid. I quite like them and I wish I'd bought one back then at that price, although the P90/full hollow construction makes them little different to a Casino (shape aside). With the more accurate '62 model being released soon at around £530.00 I think I'll hang on.

£200! I'd snap someone's hand off for that. Always liked the sorrento. I always check on eBay to see if there's one knockin about, wasn't willing to pay £300 never mind £350 that he had it at though!

You may have seen them, but in the last six months there was an orange one which sold at £260.00 and a sunburst for £275.00, both described as having 'minor dings' which were well photographed (and were minor). The problem with the current one, apart from the price, is that the pictures don't show the damage he/she describes and there is clearly a small dent in the neck which isn't mentioned at all.

I'd be happy to pay £250 and would love a vintage sunburst one but I'd take an orange one, quite like it. Keep my eyes open for one but cheaper.

I'd imagine they're similar to a casino aren't they sound wise?

Thinline body/full hollow/P90 PUPs, I wouldn't think there's going to be a lot of difference. I once played a 60's Gibson ES125TDC (well out of my price range) and that was similar sounding to a Casino.

Gonna keep my eye on eBay to see if I can get a deal on one of these at some point. Certainly wont be paying what this guy is asking for though, seems I could get one much cheaper.
