So after I've clipped the wires on the stock p'ups Is there a way to test the clipped wires that are still in the guitar for hot and ground with a VOM? mirrorboy Posted March 23, 2015 Share Posted March 23, 2015 Yes. Select the ohms setting on the meter, contact the jack socket nut with one probe and contact the pickup wires with the other probe.
