dougg330 Posted June 30, 2016 Share Posted June 30, 2016 OK, so I have a '66 ES-330 that I love. Beautiful sunburst - with the finish in great shape. Repaired headstock crack and replacement pickups (lovely sounding Lindy Fralins), so it's player grade for sure. Recently got a '70-'72 ES-335 in excellent, all original condition, which I am absolutely loving. Very different look, sound, and feel from the 330, and a great complement to it. Now I have found another '66 ES-330 for sale near me that is all original except for replacement tuners, and I'm hot to buy it. Will it give me anything I don't already have? Darker sunburst, frets are worn down fairly low, but the action is great and it plays like butter. This one is a darker sunburst, an has the original Gib P-90s. Is it stupid to purchase another 330 just like the one I already have - or will the little variances between guitars make it worth my while? Love to hear some opinions from the group.
