brc Posted February 23, 2017 Share Posted February 23, 2017 I started reading a book about 2 weeks ago titled " Play it Loud" , by Brad Tolinski and Alan Di Perna. It's all about the history of the electric guitar, and who had the most influence on the guitar as we know it today. The forward is by Carlos Santana. It goes all the way back to the beginning of the guitar, the trials and fails of the electric pick up and body designs. Chapters on Les Paul, Jimi Hendrix's,Gibson,Fender and the companies that had big inlunences on the electric guitar as we know it today; It is really very interesting, and for any one who is into guitars, I would highly recommend reading it.
