Official Gibson Pickup Covers not Fitting 490R + T

Hi guys,

 

Hoping someone a bit more in the know can help me.

 

I've got a pair or 490R+Ts from a 2016 Gibson Les Paul.

 

I've bought 2 Official Gibson Gear Humbucker Covers, one neck spacing one bridge spacing.

 

They say they fit "All Gibson Pickups"

 

But they are both about 1mm out on one or two poles - meaning that not all the poles will not fit through the gaps.

 

I stuck them in for now and you can see from the attached pictures but obviously at high volume/gain they squeal.

 

Why don't they fit, can I do anything to rectify this? Seems crazy that Gibsons own pickup covers don't fit on their own pickups? I previously bought some 3rd party covers at 50 and 52mm spacing and they were nowhere near fitting.
