The first and fifth digit show it as an 01. 03051342 The pattern is as follows: YDDDYRRR YY is the production year DDD is the day of the year RRR is the factory ranking/plant designation number. So the first number is the first number of the year and the fifth number is the second number of the year. The three in between show the day of the year. So yours is the 305th day of 2001.
