lemoni Posted October 13, 2011 Share Posted October 13, 2011 I was wondering, what are the differences between the following Gibson GA-40 amps: 1) The amp on the bottom left from the years 1955-1956. It is called the GA-40 Les Paul (2-tone) - salt and marone color. 2) The amp on the bottom right from the year 1958, also a GA-40, but in a slightly different looking cabinet in black and wood finish. Do they have a different schematic and/or valves? Do they sound different, or do they just look a bit different from the outside? Anyone know for sure? Thanks.
