[Please advised onboard preamp, pick up for Masterbuilt Dr 500MCE]

Newby here, I purchased: Masterbuilt  Dr 500mce, TC Play Acoustic and Fishman Loudbox Artist amp.

Then I read horrible stories about the Masterbuilt preamp E Sonic 2 electronics. If it breaks, what would you replaced it with? The guitar has a dual pick up, Nanomag and Nanoflex.

What will work best in this guitar, pedal and amp combination.

I will be playing (mostly strumming) in the house, friends and family.

Hello Fellow musicians, I just purchased a Dr 500 MCE with the Esonic 2, I love this guitar.  I want to know if the Esonic 2 is in 2019 still having the same  issues mention above. Thank you!
