Hello has anyone ever seen a custom shop custom before? Not sure what the color is either (Honeyburst or Viceroy Brown). Also, when did Gibson start using CS in the serial number? How do you attach photos? https://postimg.cc/gallery/BtDqyJj

Hi, thanks for the feed back. The guitar was sold new thru GC and they still had the item description in their system (not surprising as they obviously have never been updated). Also, I found a COA on line that lists the details on the guitars (this guitar was made 3 weeks after the one I purchased). Lastly, it has the limited edition sticker on the back on the neck. All of these guitars had that in 1996. There have been two listed on Reverb as well. When I receive it I will dig into it and see what I can find. Thanks

I just bought a 96 es 335 in sunrise orange. I was told that this guitar is part of a limited run for guitar center. The serial number is 9214642. I also heard these guitars came with a coa. Does anyone know the production numbers or have any information on these guitars? Thanks

Sorry about that sir! Its on its way to the east coast as we speak. I will go over the guitar and play it and for some reason I am not feeling it I can reach out to you if you want. Also, I was hoping to find more information about these guitars. I guess they were made for exclusively for GC in Nashville.

1998 Gibson Les Paul Custom (Custom Shop Logo)

Hey JDGM, thanks for the response. So, I have owned a few customs from the 90's and they all had normal serial numbers. However, I have never seen one with the custom shop logo on the back of the neck. Just wondering why that was done? I will try and post pictures in a few. this guitar is beautiful. Thanks
