Any updates on this topic? I just bought a Lee Malia Explorer and I am really happy about it... except the dummy-coil-hum situation (which is comparable with the above).
Currently using a noise gate but would rather not... is the 'official wiring' still the recommended option to have the most workable solution hum/soundwise?
