Howdy. Just bought a J35 and it is a powerhouse. Lots of punch and yet very beautiful tone when fingerpicking. It has great low end and lots of brightness on the high end.
I would perhaps try silk and steel strings Rather than 80/20 or Phosphor Bronze to counteract the high end of it was a problem to a player.

Overall they are worth every dime and then some.
