The first thing I do when I get a new or used guitar is the stings come off and I put my brand on. When I was an electric guy I used 10-47 Dean Markley Blue Steel.

Welcome aboard.  Sweet looking LP you have there.  If you purchased it new, it should have been strung with 10-46.  If you bought it used, it could be any number of gauges.  

Thanks a mill.... Yeah she is brand new. Thanks for the info... Maybe just need to play them in a bit so.... No big to change them either way.

Hey folks, 

Proud new owner of this stunning LP STD... Bourbon Burst... Much lighter than the pics on the Gibson site and certainly not dark at the edge of the burst but still gorgeous IMHO. Set up and craftsmanship is impeccable. 

Anyone know what guage strings are on this? Seems really heavy and hard to bend them.
