My first real guitar was a Gibson Les Paul. I grew into it. It was an alpine. Played it until I was 18 in the club circuit of Detroit. I had a couple others, but they eventually sold when I was trying to survive. I just bought a nice Satin Pro V yesterday. That's why I joined this forum.
Though I played Rock most of my life, I am now a Techno producer. I still play guitar. I have a nice Strat, a LP (now), and a Kramer 450B bass that I love. For Techno, I'll play an arpeggio on the guitar, re-record it as midi, and use an external instrument to play another analog synth to put in my track. Sounds like a long process, but it really isn't. It's muscle memory now. I wonder how many other people do that?
I'm 57, live high up in the mountains, working on the house and playing music. Thought I'd say hi.
