One of the used Emperor Regents I bought a decade ago came with a non-original floating pickup. They shimmed it to fit - the straight tines don't bend inward like real Regent pups - and the sound is hollow. (I think it might be one of those cheap Gretsch jobs.)
I know a lot of Emperor Regent owners replace the original Emperor Regent pups and throw them in a parts drawer. Are you one of those guys? If so, may I buy your old factory original pickup?
