So my 70 year old neighbor has had these Les Pauls sitting in his basement for years, he's looking to sell them and I want to make him a fair offer but I'm having trouble identifying them.
This guitar is a Les Paul Custom with a confusing prefix on the serial, # LE896467 "made in USA".
Any help would be appreciated, I am very much a novice at this.

The first is a Les Paul Deluxe with serial #850526, not sure if it's extremely worn or was relic'd at some point.
I only snapped a few pics but any help identifying them would be very appreciated.
I'll have to make another post for the other, the attachment size limit is too small.

Heres a pic of the front as well. The only examples of a serial with prefix LE I could find were the 1972 Les Paul Custom '54 reissues, but those appear to have a different pickup combination. I'll have to pull the humbucker to see if its been routed and replaced.
