Hi!
I'm the proud owner of a 1949 ES-150. Unfortunately, the guitar was stored in my basement and a leaking pipe caused water on the floor, the bottom of the case was soaked with water for a few weeks. It caused the finish on the bottom to flake.
What do you suggest me to do with this?
A: leave it alone,
B: scrape the flaky lacquer and apply an oil on the wood,
or C take it to my luthier and ask for a nitro touch up on this part of the guitar?
Water damage to 1949 ES-150, what should I do?

Yes I really lucky that it only affected the nitro ! I was really afraid before opening the guitar case.
I was wondering about the value of the guitar, would retouching the lacquer devaluate more the guitar than leaving the flaky now-opaque lacquer? Or it won't make a difference?
