I was seriously thinking about buying this guitar, even with this flaking issue. If I could purchase the right BASF paint - I would refinish it. My only concern here is the bridge. Yours seems to have a different bridge, wondering which is the stock one.
Bridge looks the same to me. Mine is unmodified other than the addition of straplocks.

It looks like that one has been doing some serious rocking! I guess that is what they were made for though.
Mine is almost like new, with only a small amount of buckle-rash on the back. Home use only.

I've only ever seen one other of this limited run colour scheme,(although it looks like there are at least another 87 :-)) and that was years ago on a trip to New York where some 10year old kid was on stage in the Red Lion pub in Greenwich Village where he was leading an otherwise mature-aged blues band.
