Hi. I was intrigued by your post. I am frustrated by the comments going around in this forum about the quality of Epiphone production.
The reason is that i'd like to get me a Gibson es355 but cant afford it.
I saw the Epiphone has relased it and thought it might be a good compromise??!! But that's the thing.
The phrase Value For Money sometimes worries me terribly.
I own a Gibson Les Paul and none of the Epihone i have tried matched it in quality. I am scared to buy an Epiphone thinking that oh well, for that money it is a damn good guitar. But is it a good guitar or is it good for that price? i dont know if i am beeing clear.
Would it make more sense to spend a little more and get me a Midtown Standard Bigsby?
Besides all the considerations behind the Bigsby, at my age (i am forty) with guitars and Motorbikes i have decided that I cannot let my decisions be totally rational, i must LOVE what i purchase and looks play their part too.
