  1. If you decide to install an Endpin jack, don’t just use a drill to make the hole, use a reamer of the correct size. This avoids any cracking or splintering.

Remember it will get hot so don’t the same mistake as I did, I had blisters on two fingers after touching the reamer too soon.

  2. I was recently away from home for a week and foolishly left my guitar on its stand and plugged in. It was therefore connected to my amp although that was not switched on.

Question, is there a drain on the Baggs Element battery under these circumstances or would the amp need to be switched on to complete the circuit?

  3. I doubt that.

The scratch is all I see

The guitars not pristine , and I don't worry about that but it's such a shitty scratch

I'll take a pic when I get home

I kinda new I'd have to use a pinhead or something

    Any advice will be appreciated

    Thanks lads

I used a 0000 paint brush that I used to use for retouching black and white photographs.

A pair of magnifying specs can be helpful.

Dab it on in tiny spots. Don't use a painting motion or it will be obvious.

Like most jobs, it's worth taking your time.

  4. Have an annoying scratch on my j45

Will this stuff make the guitar explode or anything ?

I've used it in the past to touch up a couple of chips on my Guild 12 string. Use tiny drops and let it spread into the chip until you get a flat suface.

  5. Curious as to whether or not the factory has gotten better at matching tops and bridge-plates as evidenced by the bridge-plate mounting hole? If you have a Gibson, built in the last 12 months, I'd be curious as to the location of the location hole (used in assembly) on the bridge plate. ors it look like the one in the bottom of the picture, or does it get close to infringing on the pin-holes, as does the top of the picture? I'm traveling to Bozeman, gonna tour the factory again, just curious about this step in the process. The guitar on top is mine, fixed with a little insert piece of wood by the way, sounds great, so far no issues.

The plate on my Hummingbird Pro looks like your picture number three.
