Thanks. Spent an hour playing it. One small blem where the neck meets the body otherwise it's a great sounding beauty. Seller hd a blackface DLR the same as my '65 so was able to judge perfectly.

Thanks. I'm not buying it unseen. I'm going to look at it before committing. I was just looking for some advice as to what issues to look for, whether 2001 ES335's were a particularly bad year, etc.

I'm looking at buying a used 2001 ES335 Dot. From pics it appears to have very few signs of wear and owner says via email that "frets are almost like new". Are there other issues I should be concerned about besides obvious cosmetics and potential flex in the neck to body joint?
