Guitars are tools and art. So I have my art on display and clean the dust off as required and enjoy looking at them each time I enter the guitar room. I try not to damage any of my guitars of course but since I do play them every day they do have wear and tear, some bumps and bruises. But to me they are the scars of a life that was exciting, fun and not spent living inside a case.

Glue it back its not normal wear and tear. If you are handy do it yourself if not take it to a reputable shop and they will do it for you.

To keep a consistent volume and sound from song to song I leave the guitar at 10 and use the effects pedals for any changes. Helps keep the sound tech at gigs happy.

I really don't like the look of the pick guard on the Les Paul. It appears like it was an afterthought to the design. I left it off mine.

Congratulations! I also have wanted one my whole life and finally my wife gave me the green light for my 60th birthday and now my other guitars don't get allot of exercise. I absolutely love my Les Paul Standard.

No although I did spend some time drooling over the 330s but I decided to go with something a little different.
I'd been looking at ES-Les Pauls but decided that they would probably feel too small and I understand they're balsa wood light and like the looks of the ES-175 but think they're really more for the jazz crowd and like the look of the Byrdlands but they're too expensive when I happened to stumble across the ES-137 Custom.
This is a 2005 case queen, ebony fret board, cat eye fret markers which I've never had and I've always wanted a Gibson with the split diamond headstock inlay but never had one. This looks pretty interesting...
Then I spied the coveted Tone Suck Control and well, there goes my self control out the window.
Tone? We don't need no steenkin' tone!!!
With any luck, it'll arrive mid to late next week and I'll take some better photos. It's supposedly a tobacco sunburst so we'll see. Looks kind of butterscotch in these photos.
That is a beauty.

I wouldn't use windex on the guitar. Use a product made for cleaning wood I am sure the music store will have what you need. Nice looking guitar by the way looks like it was worth the drive.
