Sorry ! I have had a look over and couldn't find any markings but these can be discrete/get worn off but will have another look. Will also check the link you provided, many thanks for your help.

I am far from vintage case expert, and I have never had a Geib case from the 1940s in the house but have had a few which dated to the 1920s and 1930s. The ones I have owned have had one or two raised diamonds (depending on the year) showing on the lid of the storage cubby.
Thanks for the information, checked and no 'raised diamonds' on the storage cubby lid so none the wiser.

Hi,
I own what I believe to be a Geib guitar case from the late 1940's. My Gibson SJ200 fits into it nicely.

Is there anyone that can confirm my understanding and also give an opinion on approximate value.
Many Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Hope you have got through Day 1 of Lockdown 2 (here in the UK) or as brief relief from the US Elections, my cover of the Gary Moore classic track featuring live action from the man himself !
Hope you enjoy.

Hi,
I have an old guitar case that I am struggling to identify the maker and approximate year of manufacturer. The closest I could find is a Cali-girl ? The latches have USA Excelsior Stamford, Conn. and the latch lock 151.
The link above shows a number of photos.
Thanks in advance.

Very nice, and top wrapped too.....
Is the tailpiece stock? And presumably the extra bridge adjustment wheels are to stop the bridge assembly from leaning forward?
Thanks for the thumbs up, I replaced tailpiece and bridge with Pigtail. My set up is a bit odd to most, I have the thin strings set higher to help with bending. I can get my fingers under better. As I had extra wheels I thought that this would give more stability, I don't think it would lean without the extras. 😎
