There are some death notices and bio's that appear if you wish to do a search. To paraphrase Barney Kessel, ' No one plays guitar any better than Johnny Smith'. RIP Johnny Smith, and many thanks for the incredible music you gave us all. I also learned about Johnny Smith's passing quite recently, and am very saddened at the news. I had liked his beautiful touch, tone, fluidity and sheer musicality for many years and had hoped that one day he would perform again and it would be videotaped professionally. As far as I am aware this never happened. I have been searching the internet for a long time but haven't found anything apart from three clips on Youtube.
