The Walrus
Hi Gibson folks and forum people... quick question: Does a 2011 Les Paul 1959 Vintage Collector Series (V9) have a solid, one piece rosewood fingerboard, or it's two piece laminated? Thanks
Guest Farnsbarns
Hi Gibson folks and forum people... quick question: Does a 2011 Les Paul 1959 Vintage Collector Series (V9) have a solid, one piece rosewood fingerboard, or it's two piece laminated? Thanks 2011, almost certainly 1 piece, 2 piece fret boards appeared in Jan 2012. The only way to tell is to knock the nut off (only just glued in place), have a look and put it back. That being the case, it doesn't effect feel or sound.

By the way, the person I may be getting this from says the neck has a C profile. I thought all 59's were basically D profiles. Any idea which of the two is the most authentic 59 profile, comparing to a real vintage Les Paul? And which of the two tends to be more comfortable in your opinion? Thank you so much. I guess that's the only question remaining.
