Decoding the different Custom guitar case logos

I have a CS 356 that came in a case with the "Gibson Custom" logo on it. That logo has a simple star on it, and I've seen other CS 356's that come with that case. That logo is very similar to the Custom Shop logo on the back of my CS 356's headstock.

But sometimes I see a CS 356 advertised that comes in a case with a "Gibson - Custom, Art, Historic - Since 1894" logo on it (Musician's Friend, for example). This is the same logo that is on the case my Custom Shop LP (Elegant) came in, which is very similar to the logo on the back of my LP Elegant.

Both cases appear to be made by TKL.

Are there any physical differences in the cases? Do the different cases indicate different custom shops (Memphis vrs Nashville)? (If so, why would two different CS 356's come in two different cases when I presume they come from the same shop?) Or is one the original factory supplied and the other an aftermarket case?

Basically, I was just wondering what the different logos indicate. Anyone know?

Thanks.
