royhanks Posted June 2, 2010 Share Posted June 2, 2010 I have an L6-S with a missing bridge pickup. The original was a 3 wire pickup (someone replaced it with a 2 wire DeMarzio) and needless to say, half of the positions on the 6 way selector dont work. What would be a suitable replacement pickup for this guitar. My main concern is to get the 6 way selector working in all positions. THanks. Guest BentonC Posted June 2, 2010 Share Posted June 2, 2010 The L6S used Gibson "Super Humbucking" pickups. These were around 7.8K Ohms, and used a Ceramic magnet. The closest we currently have is the 496R pickup (which could be used in both positions). Email us at service@gibson.com for the schematic and diagram- we have this info available.
