dweb1
Hi all, I have a question regarding a vintage 1970,71? Hummingbird . Did Gibson usually get some of the laquer (in this case a cherry finish is on back with a natural finish top) on the binding around the neck ? There is some of the cherry/reddish finish on the white binding. Not on the body binding mostly on the upper sides of the white neck binding. The guitar is not marked as a blem or second at all and I find it strange this would be common practice ??It does appear the finish is factory and even the middle chain link strip on back was laqured over. Email me for pics. dweb1@cox.net Thanks in advance. Don
