Epiphone BBKing Lucille

I have an Epiphone BBKing Lucille which I have to say I quite like having had three Sheratons and a Dot.

I have tried to trace the origin of the guitar but had no success The Serial Number is R9706001.

Can anyone help.

IT appears it COULD BE (maybe) made at the Peerless Korea plant.

From the same post it looks like the date may be June of '97.

But that leaves only the "001" as the ranking number (sequential?)

 

However when I pasted R9706001 into the linked website - it didn't find any info for that number.

So, unless someone else can give some info - your guess (or anyones) is as good as mine. ??????????

BTW - I hope your guitar is as good as mine is. My "Lucille" is a much better instrument than either the Epiphone Sheraton II or the Epiphone Les Paul I had in the past. Quality is really good in all areas - sound included.
