youami123
Hi there, I have come across a 2006 Epi Japan Les Paul Special 'Lacquer Series'. I have heard of the Elite/ist series in my travels but never this. Apparently it just a japanese epi with a nitro instead of poly finish. Any info appreciated. BTW - picked up a 335 Dot Elite not long ago - beautiful.
Guest icantbuyafender
From what I know, if its a japanese epi, its just as good as an elite or a gibson. Highly collectible too. Craftsmanship is TOP notch. Do you have a photo of said guitar? And congrats on the Dot. I LOVE dots. My dot studio got me hooked.
youami123
Not yet - apparently mint - cherry red - based on i think a 1959 LP Special with the 2 P-90's. Do they still make Japanese Epiphones? Its quit rare that I come across any.

jerome_travis
They still are, but just not available in anywhere else except Japan by agreement with Epi USA. You can get them used here - www.ishibashi.co.jp Lacquer taste series are also part of ESP Edwards series of nitro guitars - SG and ES copies that are top notch!
