atfab Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 Some times life is a . . . I have this Kansas SG copy, a real POS but the set neck is solid and very playable. I was given the pickups and controls from a High end Eppi LP. Now it sounds like an SG, nice bark and all. Making a new nut and some adjustments to the bridge, it's just a little too high as the post holes are too shallow. I also got a Vox VT 30 amp for my birthday. My Ovation was back to the factory 3 months ago. They did a great job. The bridge and electronics were replaced, frets dressed, action set up to perfection and they even vacuumed out the case. The best part was it only cost $60.00. The old Winston has new saddle and nut and it is now playable, great for knocking around. So much for the updates.
