Vestergaard Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Hey guys, I've been offered a Gibson Longhorn - they come with a set of EMG 85 active humbuckers. I have zero experience with EMG. I play mainly rock, not heavy at all. More in the sound area of Bon Jovi etc. Do any of you have the EMG 85 or maybe some have experience with them? Are they JUST for heavy and metal or are they vertisile? What about the clean tone? It can't be too close to a LP soundwise, since my other guitarist is playing a LP....
