bgibson
Ok, long timer lurker, first time poster :) I've read several different things about the fake gibsons & epis. One thing that is a common issue is the frets overlapping the binding. I guess I don't really understand what that means. I've got a '74 GLPC and a 2008 Epi LPC and both have frets that taper off to the binding with a little onto the creme/white binding. So when people are talking about fakes and the frets and binding issue, what do they mean? Thanks, BGG

bgibson
Welcome to the forum bgibson. This link has some pictures that I think should answer your question. Linky Thanks, that answered my question perfectly. I went over and looked at my GLPC again and could see the little pcs next to the frets. If I would have looked more towards the 12th & 14th fret I would have been able to see it earlier. Mine are pretty wore on the 1st - 9th frets. And now that I know what to look for, I could plainly see they were not there on my Epi.
