Tip on Adj Bridge set up

I brought my 69 J-45 to many guitar luthiers because the action was too high and most would not touch it or told me it needed a neck reset. The saddle would not go any lower as it was. I brought it to Steve Grimes in Maui and he did a brilliant fix. He removed the dowels and sunk them an additional 1/8". Made the guitar much easier to adjust and play.

He did a different fix on my 55 J-160e. He removed the saddle from the riser and shaved 1/16" off of the bottom and put it back together. It increased the amount I could adjust the saddle. He is at grimesguitars.com Great fixes. Photo below of J-160e.
