Question on 1956 Les Paul Juniors

Hi - I just registered and am happy to be here. Ive been getting into vintage Juniors lately (i bought a '57 and am hooked). I understand that the short posts and close bridge position that was a problem since inception was corrected in 1956. So we find '56 juniors two ways - old and new. One source said that the switch was done "early '56". I have seen a serial number in the 13000's that was old and a serial in the 15000's that was new. So I assume the switch happened somewhere in between there.

Does anyone know what portion (volume and/or year %) of the 1956 production was "old" and which was "new".

And also whether the '56's tend to have bigger necks than the '57s.

Finally - did the bridge and post change go together. (ie - did they do one before the other at any point?)

Thank you so very much

Andrew
