In understanding the 5 digit serial number for my '57 VOS RI Goldtop, the last three numbers represent the production number for my guitar for that year (as I understand it). Is there a production reference available to see where my guitar falls as to manufacture date or is calling customer service at 1 800 4gibson the best alternative?
