71Darkhorse Posted June 23, 2011 Share Posted June 23, 2011 Hey everybody :) I was wondering whether all you ES fanatics could clarify a query for me? I've just bought a really nice ES 335 historic reissue (Nashville made). I'm also lucky enough to have a 2007 ES 355 with bigsby (Memphis made). Last night i A/B compared these two guitars and the 355 seems to have WAY more powerful pickups in it. It was allot louder and aggressive sounding. The 335 seemed to have a lower output and more of an even vintage type tone. I thought that both these guitars came with 57 classic humbucking pickups? Am i wrong and why would these two guitars with really similar build specs have a sound so radically differant? Thanks everybody and o look forward to some replies. Cheers!
