The Wizard Posted July 26, 2011 Share Posted July 26, 2011 Hi guys and gals! I'm new to this forum and have a question about wiring to ask. I have a 1977 les paul custom and it has an internal shielding cavity. With the original pickups in the guitar it doesn't hum. However, I've just put a dirty fingers in the bridge and a sd alnico pro 2 in the neck and these pickups hum. (ground/earth hum) Does this mean I have to drill in a ground wire to my guitar?
