the_HEWC
Hello fellow LP-ians I have a question I was hoping someone could help me with here. I have a '96 LP R6 and a '00 LP Studio. I bought the R6 secondhand, but the Studio brand new (so I know every piece is original). The question is regarding the pickguard on my R6, it seems like a much softer plastic material than the one on my Studio. Is that correct, or do I have a non-original PG? guitarchris76
It is the correct pickguard. All of the custom shop reissues have original spec hardware and the old pickguards were thinner. I have an R7 and a LP Classic and the R7 pickguard is much thinner and softer. If it bother's you, you can always get a newer pickguard.
the_HEWC
Excellent! It doesn't bother me, I was just curious since I bought it owned and I feared the previous owner replaced it sometime. (And I want to keep it original) Oh and many thanks for the fast response!
