TheWalrus Posted January 20, 2012 Share Posted January 20, 2012 Hello, I am here because I am interested in 'upgrading' my bridge pins from whatever came on them to perhaps bone or horn. I have had a difficult time finding the information about what size the pins come with, or what will fit properly? I am interested specifically in the "John Pearse horn pins" and am hoping to learn they will fit before ordering. like the title says, i have the EJ160E John Lennon signature model. In future I will have a luthier replace the saddle/nut with either bone or horn as well. I see upgrading this guitar as a worthwhile investment as upgrading to a 'higher end' guitar (that interests me) is basically another thousand dollars, I am a beatles fan, and enjoy the 'hybrid' capabilities (hopefully soon with the GHS white bronze strings) Anyways MY MAIN QUESTION is about the bridge pins. Anyone know/have experience with the size? Will the JP horn pins fit? What material is the nut and saddle on the indonesian made guitars (or all ej160e's)... Thanks!
