I had been eyeballing one of those GC exclusive ES-335s - matte finish, P-90's, this one in sunburst - and I finally decided to play it. Seems I was the first customer to ask to try it in the many months it has been hanging there. It had a price reduction and they offered me an additional discount that would bring it down to about $2K with case included. I played it - and really liked it. The coil tapped P-90s were a revelation - pretty hot and very full in their normal state, more vintage sounding when tapped. Neck is fantastic - and the workmanship looked great. So I appeal to the members of this august forum: anybody own one? What's the long term prognosis on my GAS problem? Bad time to buy anything for me, frankly...but I think I might regret it even more if I pass up this opportunity. Anyone have one, or play one several times? What do you think of it?
