Karazuba
So, I've had a epiphone les Paul since approximately 1997, and i am trying to determine exactly what I have. I purchased it new at Sam Ash on the East Coast, and I have been the only owner since day #1, so I can confirm nothing has been changed or modified on the guitar. I've done some research, and I know of the Les Paul Standard OBL made in 1997. My guitar is similar in color, but the pickups are different and the pick guard/truss rod covers are clear and black, not tortoise as I've seen in pictures of the OBL. Serial number is I970800xx, and pictures are attached...anyone know what I might have?

Karazuba
Ok, thanks! Gibson doesn't maintain an actual database of Epiphone serial numbers, so only the bare-bones info is available via the serial number; it doesn't indicate model, finish, edition, etc..
