kevin78
Hello, I have this les paul studio from '94, it sounds very well, beefy and tight, but sometimes it really feels like it lacks of clarity and bite, it tends to get muddy and scooped especially with vox amps, is the boomy sound down to the 498T HB at the bridge or is it just the way this guitar is built? it has the fat neck and could be one of the reason also, I tried the les paul standard of a friend of mine which has the 60s neck and sounds way far brightier but also has burstbuckers as pickups, so could a different pickup fix this? if so any suggestion? here's the pic https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.n...11545130_o.jpg
