T-Black Posted March 6, 2013 Share Posted March 6, 2013 Just bought my first Les Paul, a brand spanking new, awesome ebony custom. Well much to my dismay the neck volume pot doesn't work right out of the case. If I remove the knob and wiggle the pot I can get it to crackle and come on momentarily. Called Gibson, and as expected they were great and pointed me to a local authorized dealer for repairs. Problem is I have to wait a week and half to get in. Long story short should I try and see if some contact cleaner might cure the problem, or maybe take a look at the wiring see if something looks amiss through shipping.
