abitet Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 Hi guys, Could you tell me, what kind ot potentiometers are there in the l-5 ces? 300k, 500k or historic and long shaft, short shaft or Push Pull/Short Shaft? What kind of switch? L-Type Toggle or Straight Type Switch? Does the quality of these parts of the guitar electronic (wiring, potentiometers, switch) modify the sound of the guitar? Is it worth to change these parts in an Epiphone broadway, from epi brand parts to gibson brand parts? Would it make the sound better? Of course, I would change the the pickups too. Or is it enough only change the pickups. What do You think? And what about capicators? L-5 use Historic Spec Bumble Bee Capacitors? P.S: Gibson L-5 has classic 57 pickups in both position?
